PrintThe Clapham Show is held annually in early September attracting both villagers and those from the surrounding North Bedfordshire area.

Last year we celebrated our 32nd Anniversary with, again, unfavourable weather. The show included more attractions and a very popular food village and beer tent, running together with our longstanding produce show for local people to display their produce, baking, photographic and artistic talents.

This year, 2017, we are looking to build on our success and again offer a wide variety of stalls to complement our fun family day out.

Clapham Show has a Steering Group that organises everything ~ it’s all voluntary. The costs incurred, and there are many, are met by the money we make on the day and from our wonderful sponsors, without whom, the Show would not be able to continue.

When we do well, we’re able to donate money to the village organisations which are non-profit and play an important part of village life  ~ that’s what it’s all about. Well, that and having a really good day :-)

Last year, 2016, we gave nice cheques to Clapham Village Hall, Clapham Football Club and Garden Carers.  We also paid to have a new bench built in the dog area by the allotments.

This Show website has the Schedule, giving details of all the classes that you may enter ~ please also see the page called Rules for the requirements of entry into the different classes.

The Fun Day side is designed to have entertainment, local information, in fact, lots to do and see for everyone!

You will find more stories on our facebook page – Clapham Show – please like us!

If you would like to become involved and /or help on the day, please call Lynne Douglas-Gray (see Contacts).
